Aim of project
The project is directed at solving the fundamental problems of soil science, biogeochemistry and ecology such as recognition of nature processes that determine the natural evolution and functioning of swampy ecosystems, regularities of formation of elementary chemical composition of plants and their transformation under human impact.
The results expected
The degree of significance of biogenic element accumulation by plants will be determined for total trace elements content while element absorbing through the root system and element sedimenting with dust as well as element absorbing from atmosphere on plant surfaces. It is expected to obtain qualitative indices concerned with the contribution of element giogenic and hydrogenic accumulation, degree and character of atmosphere pollution, regional and global geochemical background, specific features of swamp genesis and evolution in the context of content and relationship as well as distribution of elements in the profile of peatlands.
