At the instance of participants the closing date for receiving abstracts of presentations is extended until\u00a015 March<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n Dear colleagues and friends!<\/p>\n The Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS intends to hold the Sixth International Conference on Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure (BGRS’2008) from\u00a0June 22- 28, 2008<\/b><\/span>\u00a0at Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk.<\/p>\n The BGRS’2008 will be an interdisciplinary conference concerned with furthering a new generation of methods of computer and theoretical analysis and their application to abroad range of problems that includes the structural-functional organization of genomes, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, evolutionary and systems biology. At the BGRS’2008, it is planned to cover new research directions that are currently emerging with reference to the application of computer methods for processing experimental data in the areas of proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics, also nanobiotechnology. Novel achievements in these research areas will be presented at the BGRS’2008.<\/p>\n The scientific program will consist of plenary and program reports, round tables raising timely issues in bioinformatics and systems biology. The participants will be provided with ample opportunities to demonstrate and freely discuss their work.<\/p>\n The BGRS’2008 will include an innovation business-forum aimed at the discussion of possible ways and means for implementing scientific developments in the bioinformatics area and potential collaboration between scientists, biotechnological companies and venture funds.<\/p>\n All those whose scientific interests lie in the state-of-the-art bioinformatics, mathematical, theoretical and\/or computer biology, those who apply theoretical and\/or computer approaches in experimental research are also welcome to contribute and attend the BGRS’2008.<\/p>\n Representatives of biotechnological, pharmaceutical and bioinformatics companies and firms are just as welcome.<\/p>\n The participants will be offered a program for recreation and sight-seeing.
