Dear colleagues!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We cordially invite you to participate in the\u00a0International Symposium \u201cBiodiversity: genomics and evolution\u201d (BioGenEvo-2018)<\/span>, which will be held in the Novosibirsk State University on the\u00a023-24th<\/sup>\u00a0of August, 2018<\/span> \u00a0(Novosibirsk Academgorodok, Russia)<\/p>\n

The Symposium will be organized by the Russian Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations; Laboratory of Biodiversity and Functional Marine Genomics (A.O. Kovalevsky Institute of Marine Biological Research of\u00a0RAS);\u00a0Nikita Botanical Gardens \u2013 National Scientific Centre of RAS; Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS.<\/p>\n

The Symposium is held within the framework of the 11th International Multiconference \u201cBioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure\\Systems Biology\u201d (BGRS\\SB-2018<\/a>) which will take place on the 20th<\/sup>\u00a0\u2013 25th<\/sup>\u00a0of August, 2018.<\/p>\n

The symposium is devoted to new methods and strategies for investigation of global biological diversity in ecosystems, nervous systems and developmental biology based on single-cell analysis. The strategies of comparative analysis of genomes and molecular mechanisms of adaptation of organisms to extreme conditions, issues of reconstruction of genealogy and evolution of animals and plants, as well as cellular types will also be considered.<\/p>\n

The symposium program includes plenary reports by leading Russian and foreign scientists in the field of biology of selected taxa, neurobiology, genomics and bioinformatics, oral presentations and poster presentations of specialists of various profiles and young scientists are also planned.<\/p>\n

The symposium “Biodiversity: Genomics and Evolution” will unite the following research areas in two main sections:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) Novel single-cell technologies of massive parallel sequencing, including:<\/p>\n

\uf0a7 cell classification and evolution;
\n\uf0a7 processing and analysis data of massive parallel single-cell transcriptome sequencing;
\n\uf0a7 computational methods for visualization and clustering of data in a single-cell Genomics;
\n\uf0a7 compilation of cell type Atlas across phylla;
\n\uf0a7 modeling of cell structure based on sequencing data;<\/p>\n

2) Global biodiversity, <\/strong>including:<\/p>\n

\uf0a7 macroevolution across the tree of Life;
\n\uf0a7 phylogenomic;
\n\uf0a7 evolution and genomic basis of speciation;
\n\uf0a7 molecular basis of adaptation;
\n\uf0a7 evolution of nervous systems;
\n\uf0a7 evolution and development.<\/p>\n

The official language<\/strong> of Symposium: English.<\/p>\n

Venue:<\/strong>\u00a0the Symposium will be held at the new building of Novosibirsk \u00a0State University (Novosibirsk, Pirogov Street, 1).<\/p>\n

Publication of materials:<\/strong>\u00a0All accepted abstracts will be published as\u00a0Symposium Abstract Book. Full-text versions of abstracts will be posted on the conference website and in the Russian Science Citation Index. Some materials, recommended by BGRS\\SB-2018 Program Committee, will be ask to submit their materials to special issues of peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web of Science and \/ or Scopus as \u00a0full-text articles.<\/p>\n
