Dear colleagues!

On June 07–10, 2010, Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk, Russia) organizes the International Conference “Plant Genetics, Genomics, and Biotechnology”. The Conference plans to discuss the following issues:

(1) Plant genome sequencing in the 21st century;
(2) Genetics and breeding in a changing environment;
(3) Chromosome biotechnology;
(4) Genome evolution; and
(5) Genomics towards systems biology.

We plan to attract Russian and foreign scientists involved in collaborative research in several directions of plant biotechnology, genomics, and genetics. Over the last decades, the international collaboration of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in this field has considerably expanded. Today, Institute of Cytology and Genetics is a member of the International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium. The Conference will present state-of-the-art results in the field of plant genetics, genomics, and biotechnology and discuss the promising directions of collaboration in basic and applied aspects of plant genome research. It is planned that this Conference will become a regular event on a biennial basis.
The working languages of the conference will be Russian and English.
