The 5th School for Young Scientists on Plant Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (PlantGen School 2025) will take place before the PlantGen2025 conference.
The dates of the school are:
30 June to 2 July (inclusive). 2 July 2025 – the first day of the PlantGen2025 conference (plenary day) is included in the school program.
The School’s main areas of research are:
- Molecular markers and genome editing in plant genetic research;
- Directions for genome modifications of agricultural plants;
- Molecular genetics and plant breeding.
The school will include the following activities:
– Lectures on scientific directions and the theme of the school (morning 30.06 and 01.07);
– Workshops (afternoon 30.06 and 01.07, morning 02.07);
– Plenary lectures at the opening of the PlantGen2025 conference (02.07).

Application of speed breeding technology in applied and fundamental plant research.
Description of the workshop «Gene construct delivery methods for plant genome modification and editing»: during the workshop, participants will learn skills in agrobacterial and bioballistic transformation of plants, as well as skills in determining the number of T-DNA insertions into the plant genome and evaluating the efficiency of delivery of genetic constructs in transient expression mode.
Workshop duration is 10 hours (4+4+2).
