School of Young Scientists

The 5th School for Young Scientists on Plant Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (PlantGen School 2025) will take place before the PlantGen2025 conference.

The dates of the school are:
30 June to 2 July (inclusive). 2 July 2025 – the first day of the PlantGen2025 conference (plenary day) is included in the school program.

The theme of the PlantGen School 2025 :
«Genome modification and genome editing in plants».

The School’s main areas of research are:

  • Molecular markers and genome editing in plant genetic research;
  • Directions for genome modifications of agricultural plants;
  • Molecular genetics and plant breeding.

The school will include the following activities:
– Lectures on scientific directions and the theme of the school (morning 30.06 and 01.07);
– Workshops (afternoon 30.06 and 01.07);
– Plenary lectures at the opening of the PlantGen2025 conference (02.07).

Please note that the number of school participants is limited to 25 this year. Age of participants: young scientists no more than 35 years.

In order to become a participant of the School, it is necessary to do the following:

  1. Register on this website (via this link), by selecting one of two categories: ‘PlantGen School 2025 Participant’ or ‘PlantGen 2025 Participant and PlantGen School 2025 Participant’ (depending on whether you will attend only the School or both the School and the Conference).
  2. Fulfil the category ‘Young Scientist under 35 years old’ (you will need to send a scan of any proof of age when paying the registration fee).
  3. Pay the organisational fee of 3000 roubles.

The first 25 people who fulfil all three points above will be registered as official participants of the school.

The scientific program of the school (list of lectures and exercises) will be published in March 2025.
