Dear colleagues!

We cordially invite you to participate in the International Symposium “Biodiversity: genomics and evolution” (BioGenEvo-2018), which will be held in the Novosibirsk State University on the 23-24th of August, 2018  (Novosibirsk Academgorodok, Russia)

The Symposium will be organized by the Russian Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations; Laboratory of Biodiversity and Functional Marine Genomics (A.O. Kovalevsky Institute of Marine Biological Research of RAS); Nikita Botanical Gardens – National Scientific Centre of RAS; Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS.

The Symposium is held within the framework of the 11th International Multiconference “Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure\Systems Biology” (BGRS\SB-2018) which will take place on the 20th – 25th of August, 2018.

The symposium is devoted to new methods and strategies for investigation of global biological diversity in ecosystems, nervous systems and developmental biology based on single-cell analysis. The strategies of comparative analysis of genomes and molecular mechanisms of adaptation of organisms to extreme conditions, issues of reconstruction of genealogy and evolution of animals and plants, as well as cellular types will also be considered.

The symposium program includes plenary reports by leading Russian and foreign scientists in the field of biology of selected taxa, neurobiology, genomics and bioinformatics, oral presentations and poster presentations of specialists of various profiles and young scientists are also planned.

The symposium “Biodiversity: Genomics and Evolution” will unite the following research areas in two main sections:

1) Novel single-cell technologies of massive parallel sequencing, including:

 cell classification and evolution;
 processing and analysis data of massive parallel single-cell transcriptome sequencing;
 computational methods for visualization and clustering of data in a single-cell Genomics;
 compilation of cell type Atlas across phylla;
 modeling of cell structure based on sequencing data;

2) Global biodiversity, including:

 macroevolution across the tree of Life;
 phylogenomic;
 evolution and genomic basis of speciation;
 molecular basis of adaptation;
 evolution of nervous systems;
 evolution and development.

The official language of Symposium: English.

Venue: the Symposium will be held at the new building of Novosibirsk  State University (Novosibirsk, Pirogov Street, 1).

Publication of materials: All accepted abstracts will be published as Symposium Abstract Book. Full-text versions of abstracts will be posted on the conference website and in the Russian Science Citation Index. Some materials, recommended by BGRS\SB-2018 Program Committee, will be ask to submit their materials to special issues of peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web of Science and / or Scopus as  full-text articles.

Abstracts will be submitted in electronic form, through the personal account on the site. To submit the abstract(s) one should register and create a personal account on the symposium website: https://conf.icgbio.ru/biogenevo/abstract/

Abstracts are accepted until May 1, 2018. Abstracts Language: English.The instructions for abstracts are posted on the conference website:  https://conf.icgbio.ru/biogenevo/abstract/

The organizational fee covers participation in all sessions of the symposium, coffee breaks, information package of the participant (badge, printed program, abstract book and other information materials).
