Call for participation
The East-West Science Centre in cooperation with the Institute of Cytology & Genetics (SB RAS) and the Department of Bioinformatics of the University of Bielefeld organize the German-Russian Forum Biotechnology in Novosibirsk. In addition to the Forum there will be a special EU-Panel concerning European Perspectives in the 7th Research Framework Program (FP7).
The German-Russian Forum will give the participants the opportunity to present their work to the audience with the objective to gain possible future cooperation partners. In addition to the Forum and the EU-Panel there will be the opportunity to establish first contacts or to intensify cooperation during individual Cooperation Talks and to visit Biotechnology Institutes and Enterprises in Novosibirsk and Akademgorodok.
The Forum themes will include: Molecular Biology & Molecular Medicine, Agriculture & Forestry Biotechnology, Nutrition & Food Biotechnology, Environment Protection, Bioinformatics. Supplementary German-Russian Summer School «Biotechnology & Bioinformatics» for young researchers will take place at June, 18-19.
For the German participants there is an option for financial support from the German side.
For the Russian participants there is an option for financial support from the Russian side (this will depend on the Forum overall financial support and will be defined in more details later).

The working languages of the Forum will be English (in some cases the simultaneous translation from Russian to English could be provided). Theses will be published.
