Full-text Publication

Full-text Publication in special journal issues

The abstracts approved by the panel of experts from the sections and symposia will be recommended for full-text paper publication in special journal issues (WoS/Scopus indexed) BMC Genomics, BMC Plant Biology, BMC Evolutionary Biology, BMC Genetics, BMC Medical Genomics, BMC Systems Biology, BMC Bioinfomatics, Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, “Molecular biology (Mosk.)” and “Vavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding”. The papers’ titles should be submitted in June, 2018, full text – before August 2018. Please contact guest editor Dr. Yuriy L Orlov (orlov@bionet.nsc.ru), Prof. Ancha V. Baranova (abaranov@gmu.edu) and Tatiana Tatarinova (tatiana.tatarinova@gmail.com). Papers for special journal issues could be recommended by the experts from all the sessions and symposia of the Multi-Conference.

Special issue of the journal “Vavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding” after conference BGRS\SB-2018 and all its satellite symposiums will be devoted to topical issues of bioinformatics, systemic computer biology, biomedicine, biotechnology. “The Vavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding” is indexed in the RSCI, SСOPUS. Therefore, articles must be submitted in English.

Submission of articles is carried out through electronic edition on the site http://vavilov.elpub.ru/index.php/jour or by the e-mail address: pnl@bionet.nsc.ru

The deadline for submission of manuscripts for publication in the special issue is September 1, 2018. The special issue of the magazine will be published in late November 2018. Requirements for the design of manuscripts can be found on the Web site of the journal:  http://vavilov.elpub.ru/index.php/jour/

In addition, Call for Papers in the topic issue of ‘Frontiers in Genetics’ for BGRS conference is open in June.

See the details and submit paper abstract to Frontiers special issue ‘Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Systems Biology’ at the web-site

After previous BGRS\SB-16 we organized special journal issues at BioMedCentral – BMC Genomics, BMC Evolutionary Biology, BMC Genetics; series of special issues were published after last year Belyaev Conference-2017 on genetics and Young Scientists School SBB-2017 in Novosibirsk (see https://bmcgenomics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12864-018-4476-5). After previous events of the BGRS and SBB series, the thematic issues of the Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (JBCB) (http://www.worldscientific.com/doi/abs/10.1142/S0219720018020018) were published in 2018, 2017, 2014, 2012 and 2006.

Author Guidelines

  1. Papers should strictly follow IEEE format (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) and be limited to 6 pages. A charge of 1000 RUB will be applied for each extra page.
  2. IEEE PDF eXpress™. To determine whether the papers are compatible with Xplore (and how to fix the files if they are not) please visit https://ieee-pdf-express.org/ and use the 44818XP for the Conference ID. When you are happy with the PDF file, click on the «approve for collection» link.

Please take note that IEEE has a strict policy on No-Show.
Therefore, if your paper is accepted, one of the authors and their representatives MUST PRESENT their paper at the conference. Papers with NO SHOW participants will not be submitted to IEEExplore.

Check the Abstract format: In order for an abstract to be effective when displayed in IEEE Xplore® as well as through indexing services such as Compendex, INSPEC, Medline, ProQuest, and Web of Science, it must be an accurate, stand-alone reflection of the contents of the article. It is important to state the primary objective, describe your research/design methodology and procedures you employed, the main outcomes and results, and the conclusions that might be drawn from these data and results. In particular, check that it complies with the IEEE Xplore Abstract Format:

  • The abstract must be between 150-250 words. Be sure that you adhere to these limits; otherwise, you will need to edit your abstract accordingly.
  • The abstract must be self-contained, without abbreviations, footnotes, or references. It should be a microcosm of the full article.
  • The abstract must be written as one paragraph, and should not contain displayed mathematical equations or tabular material.
  • The abstract should include three or four different keywords or phrases, as this will help readers to find it. It is important to avoid over-repetition of such phrases as this can result in a page being rejected by search engines.

Plagiarism: Make sure that your paper is substantially different (less than 60% overlap) from (your) previously published work. Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and multiple publication using IEEE CrossCheck Portal (https://crosscheck.ieee.org).

Fees

  • Regular: 4000 RUB
  • Co-organizers and IEEE Members: 3000 RUB
  • Students and Postgraduate Students: 3000 RUB
  • A charge of 1000 RUB will be applied for each extra page.
