The symposium is devoted to new methods and strategies for investigation of global biological diversity in ecosystems, nervous systems and developmental biology based on single-cell analysis. The strategies of comparative analysis of genomes and molecular mechanisms of adaptation of organisms to extreme conditions, issues of reconstruction of genealogy and evolution of animals and plants, as well as cellular types will also be considered.

The symposium program includes plenary reports by leading Russian and foreign scientists in the field of biology of selected taxa, neurobiology, genomics and bioinformatics, oral presentations and poster presentations of specialists of various profiles and young scientists are also planned.

The symposium “Biodiversity: Genomics and Evolution” will unite the following research areas in two main sections:

1) Novel single-cell technologies of massive parallel sequencing, including:

 cell classification and evolution;
 processing and analysis data of massive parallel single-cell transcriptome sequencing;
 computational methods for visualization and clustering of data in a single-cell Genomics;
 compilation of cell type Atlas across phylla;
 modeling of cell structure based on sequencing data;

2) Global biodiversity, including:

 macroevolution across the tree of Life;
 phylogenomic;
 evolution and genomic basis of speciation;
 molecular basis of adaptation;
 evolution of nervous systems;
 evolution and development.

The official language of Symposium: English.
