Study MtWOX9-1 gene that stimulates somatic embryogenesis.
1) Analysis of the effect of loss of MtWOX9-1 function on the ability for somatic embryogenesis in Medicago truncatula: obtaining plants with loss of MtWOX9-1 function using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and assessing their embryogenicity.
2) Analysis of the effect of overexpression of MtWOX9-1 on the capacity for somatic embryogenesis in Lens culinaris (lentil) and Pisum sativum (pea).
